46:00 maximum - 2,300 runners at the start
CCC® [Courmayeur-Champex-Chamonix] : 3 countries - 100km and 5,950m of positive height gain in semi-autonomy - 25:00 max - 1,900 runners at the start
TDS™ [sur les Traces des Ducs de Savoie] : 3 countries - 119km and 7,250m positive height gain in semi-autonomy - 33:00 max - 1,500 runners at the start
PTL™ [la Petite Trotte à Léon]: 3 countries - 300km and 24,000m positive height gain in total autonomy.
A non-stop event without final positions open to 80 teams

Among the 6 000 runners at the start of one of the The North Face® Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc® races one must count on 1 000 expert runners – of whom around fifty are big favourites – who are going to share the same races and the same rules with 5000 unknown people coming from the four corners of the world to participate in this big adventure, and attempt to make the complete tour.

A month after the closure of the 2013 The North Face® Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc® registrations, the first statistics show a record number of nationalities will be lining up on the starting line and give a more complete panel of the profile of the runners who will be present. Apart from figures, the testimony of Etienne Klein, physicist, philosopher of the sciences and loyal participant, also describes the emotion and his experience of this race which everybody comes to experience….

2013 registration :
As numerous as ever, as many countries as ever!
2013 will continue to see the international success of the four events of the The North Face® Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc®! Yet again this year trail-runners from the world over will be at the rendezvous, keen to attend to face the challenge, and despite the increase in the number of qualification points necessary this year (7 instead of 5 for the UTMB®, 2 instead of 1 for the CCC®).
As in 2012, 3 600 candidates were unable to validate their registration this year due to lack of places.

Guaranteed race format in 2013!
After 3 years of complications due to unfavorable weather the organization is taking measures to assure the conduct of the event even under very difficult conditions. While simple variants already exist, October 2012 is witness to structured back-up races for each event, respecting distances, elevations, timing, logistics...
