2013 registrations

The 2013 The North Face® Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc® will take place in the last week of August, between August 26th and September 1st, 2013.

In order to manage the 2012 registrations fairly and squarely, they can only be made by internet.

UTMB®, CCC®, TDS^TM

Pre-registration dates

A pre-registration period will open from December, 19th 2012 to January, 8th 2013 during which time all candidates will be able complete their application form, including qualifying courses, for the event of their choice. This form will be validated by the payment of 50€ deposit payable by credit-card (secured on-line payment)

Qualifying races

Registration for each race will only be possible for those runners who have realised the preliminary qualifying races between January 1st 2011 and December 31st 2012: click here for the rules concerning the qualifying races for the 2013 Ultra-Trail®

TDS^TM : 2 points acquired between 2011/01/01 and 2012/12/31
The 2010 UTMB® and CCC® also give the right to points.

Group registration

It will be possible to pre-register as a group (minimum 2 people, maximum 12 people per group, with your partner, your running companions etc). The first group member who will pre-enroll will have to click " Pre-registration in group", he will then obtain a group number that he will communicate to the other members. Then, they just have to indicate this number in " Pre-Registration in group" when they will pre-register.

Attention: At the end of your registration, you can, on your runner’s file verify the other members of your group. If they do not appear there, it could be that you have entered the incorrect group number!

Should there be a draw, then the groups will be drawn as a group. Like this the result will be the same for each group member.

Draw

If the number of pre-registrations for a race exceeds the maximum number possible for that race, a draw will be held, the results of which will be communicated on January 18th 2013 at 10:00 (Paris time).

For those who have their pre-registration confirmed there will be a period of 11 days, from 18 till 28 January 2013, in which to finalise and complete their registration by paying, by credit card, the balance of their registration fee and by submitting the relevant supporting documents.

Those persons who do not complete their registration within the time specified will lose their place, their deposit will not be returned by the organisation and they will not be benefit from the coefficient of 2 for the following year.

The eventual losers in the draw will have their 50€ deposit reimbursed.
*** Attention - new***: They will benefit from a co-efficient of 2 the following year which will double their chance of success.
In the case of being unlucky a second time, they will have priority registration (without pre-registration) for the same race the year after, on the one condition that they have  the necessary qualification points by finishing the qualifying races which conform to the current rules of the year of their registration.
This regulation evolves and is susceptible to change each year. In any case the registration conditions for each year are announced at the beginning of February the previous year.

Priority registration in 2013

Those runners unsuccessful in the 2012 draw who did not transfer their registration to the TDS^TM, will in 2013, benefit from a priority registration on condition that they have the points necessary for 2013.
Thoe persons who were unlucky in the 2012 draw and transferred their registration to the TDS^TM have renounced their priority for 2013.

Runner’s commitments

 By registering, each runner personally agrees to engage in the following :

• I declare that I have read and understood the regulations and ethics of the race (available at www.ultratrailmb.com)
• I understand and approve of the conditions of participation which figure in the regulations
• I agree to respect all items of the regulations
• I agree to scrupulously respect and promote the ethic
• I agree to be aware of any medical condition which could concern me and, consequently relieve the organisation of any responsibility for any medical problem which may arise during the event due to any negligence on my part
• I agree to acknowledge that in the case of an inexact declaration of qualifying races, not complying to the regulations or deceitfulness, the organisation reserves the right to cancel my registration without re-imbursing the fees paid.

PTL^TM - La Petite Trotte à Léon

A PTL^TM team must have at least 1 finisher from a previous UTMB® race or Tor des Géants race.

The pre-registration period will be open from December, 19th 2012 to January, 4th 2013.

If the number of teams is higher than the number permitted on the start line, a draw will take place January, 5th before the end of the period of pre-registration for the other three events to enable those who were unlucky in the draw to pre-register for one of the other races, should they wish to.

The team leader (which is necessarily a UTMB® or Tor des Géants finisher) makes the pre-registration for all his team at the same time.
