The organisation's buses

An exceptional, communal transport system is planned for the competitors and those persons accompanying them in an attempt to limit the green-house gas emissions and particles. Let us, together, avoid these races, in the middle of nowhere, engendering an immense swarm of cars around Mont Blanc.

During the UTMB®, CCC® and TDS, buses will be at the available

• for the repatriation of runners to either Chamonix or Courmayeur at the end of their race or in the case of abandonment
• to allow accompanying persons to go and see their runners in any of the villages, through which the race route passes, without using their own vehicles (see map)

Access conditions for 2011

• Volunteers and organisation members: free access on presentation of your badge.
• Competitors: free access upon presentation of your race-bib
• Accompanying persons:
  Unlimited pass from Thursday morning: 25 euros par personne,
  Access to Saint-Gervais / les Contamines only 6 euros par personne,
  ATTENTION reservation compulsory before August 20th, for buses towards Saint-Gervais and les Contamines (Free for the children under age 15 accompanied by a parent)
  • www.ultratrailmb.com : to purchase and reserve a pass (from July 1st and before August 17th) :
    It will be necessary to collect the tickets from the appropriate stand at the distribution of race bibs.
  • At the venue: on sale in the reception in the Grépon car-park in Chamonix, as well as at the distribution of the race bibs and at information points, in Chamonix and Courmayeur.
    ATTENTION : no reservation for Saint-Gervais and les Contamines at the venue.

NB : Pets are not encouraged on the organisation’s buses; each driver is free to refuse them on their bus

Start CCC® and TDS
To get from Chamonix to Courmayeur for the start of the CCC® or TDS, runners receive a control card for themselves and for their companions at the bib pick up in Chamonix (transport is free for runners, their companions must purchase a pass for 25 euros)

Important information : Modification of access roads during the race

ACCESS TO ST GERVAIS AND LES CONTAMINES
The road closed Friday, August 27th between 18:30 and 20:30.
Only the organisation’s buses, security and organisation’s vehicles will be authorised on this road between these times.

LAC COMBAL ACCESS
Road closed at Visaille. Continue to the lake on foot (2km easy)

ACCESS TO THE VAL FERRET
Access to Arnuva is reserved for shuttle buses and the organisation’s vehicles.
All other vehicles are forbidden.

ACCESS TO CHAMPEX
The road will be closed Friday August 26th & Saturday 27th from 19:00 to 24:00
Only the organisation’s buses, security and organisation’s vehicles will be authorised on this road between these times.

Schedules are indicative because they will be adapted during the event according to the constraints of the organisation and possible traffic problems.
