Car-parks and communal transport
NEW FOR 2013:
Parking free of charge
At the Grepon and the Brevent car parks, in Chamonix (see map)
Before entering the Grépon car-park, armed with your Pass Ultra-Trail® (downloadable from your runner’s page), go to the Grépon carpark’s welcome desk Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:30 to 19:30).
You will obtain a card which will give you free access to the car-park, valuable from Tuesday 9:30 to Monday 12:00. This card allows you to enter and exit freely throughout this period.
Free shuttle buses to the town centre
Use the free "Mulets" (shuttle buses) to reach the different areas of the race easily and circulate freely in the town centre.
You may also call the "Mulet des Hameaux", a transport service upon request, which gives you the possibility of moving between outlying urban areas (not served by the urban routes) to Chamonix town centre (upon reservation).
All information available at www.chamonix-bus.com
You, as a privileged visitor in the Mont-Blanc Pays, may also benefit from using the urban Chamonix bus service (excluding the night service) and the SNCF train between Servoz and Vallorcine simply by presenting your carte d’hôte. If you are staying in one of the communes, ask for one at your accommodation, if not ask for one from one of the race information points in Chamonix.
Chamonix is a small town. The Chamonix (SNCF) railway station is 5 minutes walk from the town centre and the start and finish area and 10 minutes from the Centre Sportif where there is the race-bib distribution (see map).
